Parent - Child asset relationship

   Hi,

I want to know about the parent-child asset relationship. I know that using the paret-child we can set relationship between asset, but is the function only related to maintain relationship information or can have other impact? . below are the points that I need to clarify:

a. Does setup in parent asset will be automatically inherit to child asset when we add the child asset? such as economic life, depreciation method, prorate convention? or it will follow the general rules which are came from asset category?

b. Does parent date placed in service automatically inherit to the subcomponent?

c. what happened when parent asset fully depreciated, will it be impact to the subcomponent/child?
