Purging in Projects

 Hi,  I am attempting to purge old date within Projects.  I have created a purge batch and have run the concurrent request Validate Purge Batches.  This completed normally with no exceptions although the status of the batch now shows as 'Validating' and I am unable to proceed to release this batch for purging. 

Originally I thought there was a background process that was running as when I attempt to edit the batch the first two records in the batch show a Validation Status of 'Valid' with a Project Status of 'Pending Purge' whilst the remaining records in the batch have a Validation Status of 'New' with a Project Status of 'Closed'.
