SPARC x X86 & Solaris x Linux
Hello,
Could you, please, help me understand why SPARC would be more compeling than X86?
If I consider matching memory, a key resource for consolidating Oracle Database in VMs or containers, SPARC would be prohibitely more expensive.
If not SPARC, then on X86 people tend to form a case against Solaris, just because they argue that "Linux is the natural choice for X86".
