Sub-Inventory for Sale Order (OM)

Dear Guys,

if we don't select sub-inventory in the field of sale order and then at the time of move order transact, what will be the effect ??
In my observation, when we inquiry of item from inventory module, inventory is out from warehouse( Inventory-Org) level whether we have selected sub-inventory of warehouse( inv-Org) or not.


Kindly amke me clear in this regard.
