Setup Migration between Pre Live and Live environments

Hi,

Apologies if the question has already been asked.

we are looking at the 11.5.10 to 12.1.3 upgrade of our Financials E Business suite system and my colleagues wanted to know if it is possible to upgrade a clone of Live and perform the necessary set up on this copy with the intention of making the copy Live.

However the difficulty being that the set up would be carried out on the copy whilst users were still using the Live system.

I can't see any way of doing this apart from some sort of export/import of just the setup. Is there a supported method of doing this?
