Shopping Category - Upgrade from 11i to R12

In R12 we have a profile 'POR: Autocreate Shopping Category and Mapping' which can be used to automatically create Shopping Categories in iProcurement corresponding to Purchasing Categories defined in Oracle Inventory/Purchasing based on the description provided for the purchasing category.

My question is, does this functionality work during an upgrade? e.g. There is a purchasing category  defined in Oracle 11.5.10.2 called '006.10' that has a description 'Electrical Accessories' and the purchasing category is not mapped to any Shopping Category in iProcurement. During the upgrade if I set the profile option 'POR: Autocreate Shopping Category and Mapping' to 'Yes', will the system automatically create 'Shopping Category' 'Electrical Accessories' mapped to purchasing category '006.10' in Oracle R12.1.3.
