rman backups the only used blocks the backup file shows the actual size of the file in database

Rman backups only the used blocks %% if its correct then if i check the backup of the data file which had been backup ed by rman it must show the only used size but it shows the actual size of the file 

can i reduce the size of the database while i duplicate the database by using auxiliary database in rman 

please clarify this
