Before and After Tax report for SQL server?

We are moving from the AS400 / iSeries to SQL server. In our test plan, we want to test the monthly Vertex update. In doing so, we would like to verify this by running a Before And After report, but I can't find instructions on how to obtain this for SQL server. I'm assuming there is a different process with which to obtain this?
