Item cost history

Hello
From the where i can see item cost history(changes in cost)?is there any report which is showing the item cost history from the beginning?

In which table item cost history saved?

Actually i develop a customization report which shows the inventory value with quantity and rate and the parameters are(date,inventory org).the problem is when i check the inventory value on any previous date through the parameter,it update the unit cost (showing current unit cost) while oracle standard report ALL INVENTORY VALUE REPORT not update the unit cost if i want to see on previous date inventory value.
