Hardware recommendations for Siebel Database Server

Hi Community,

we are planning to buy a new database server for our Siebel system and I would like to have your oppinion about which hardware suits our need (Type of CPU, RAM, OS)

Siebel Environment:

* Siebel Sales

* 5 Languages handeled by 5 OMs

* PIMSI, EAI, some EIM

* about 250 concurrent user logins at peak times

* 200 remote clients

So far, a Intel Itanium-based HP-UX server is running Oracle 10g and does it's job quite good. But since it's old, it needs to be replaced by something else (and hopefully even faster ) -> if possible, running Ora 11g on Server 2008.

Your feedback regarding

a.) whether Server 2008 can seriously replace a former HP-UX machine and
