Using the planned/scheduled arrival date for the pricing date on an order

Our company needs to price based off the delivery date of an order. 

Therefore, in OM we need our pricing date to follow the planned/scheduled arrival date.  Is there a way to do this?  We tried creating triggers, but it appears that the pricing api is overwriting what we do to make it the ship date.  (Currently, we use the ship date)

Is there way to do this?  According to the manual it doesn't appear to be an option.
