move 10GR2 from RH4.8 to RH5.6 failed

Hi,

We moved our 10.2.0.3 database from redhat 4.8 to redhat 5.6, but the database crushed a few hour later. The question is if Oracle support this change ( from RH4.8 to RH5.6)

Here are the steps we did:

1) a 10g primary database running on RH4.8 (svr1) before switch over, it is stable for long time.
2) we created a 10g physical standby database running on RH5.6 (svr2) , recovering logs generated from the primary, for about 10 days we didn't see any issues on the standby.
3) a switchover to the standby, so the database on svr2 became the primary and the one on svr1  become new standby

Howdy, Stranger!
