Formatting pivot table data when a column selector is used to show the data via a different metric

Hi,

I have created a report that displays a chart with a pivot table below it.  The data is originally displayed using one currency metric and I have formatted that metric in my report so that it is displayed in a $xxx,xxx format.  I have added a column selector above the chart so that the user can easily change the data that is displayed in the report, but when I select the other currency metric it is displayed in a xxx,xxx.xx USD format.  How do I get the data from the second column selector to be formatted in the same way
