Is there a way to configure SMF services to send some sort of notifications?

Hello,
Is there a way to configure SMF services to send some sort of notifications in Solaris 10?
For instance, where a service starts, stops, enters maintenance or restarts are being attempted due to unexpected failures.

In Solaris 11 Express it seems we have it.
