Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Thread count vs session count

I see there is a difference between thread count and session count. In my system, I always see thread count <= session count.

We are running 9.2.0.8 version (DEDICATED) on Windows 2003 server. Since we use dedicated server , each session = one thread.

Can some one help me understanding about "thread count vs sessions count".
