RMAN Catalog database versioning

I am looking for advice from someone who attempted to use RMAN catalog hosted on 10.2.0.4 to store 11.2.0.2 RMAN data on Production level systems?

The reason for not upgrading is that our catalog is 2-node RAC with single node standby and our particular hardware is not favoured by Oracle any longer...

I can't find any references to formally supported versions in the documentation.
