Approved Supplier’s Lists (ASLs) in R12

Hi,

In R12 Catalog White Paper (Note 560749.1) it says the below, does that mean ASL is obsolete in R12 or its saying in some different context?

Approved Supplier’s Lists (ASLs) will not be shown in iProcurement search results. In R12, theOracle Purchasing Sourcing Rule will be used to determine the best Supplier and Supplier Sitecombination during the requisition creation process.
