Is it possible to import a template and still configure events (make it interactive) BIP Standalone

Hi!
I'm new to BIP Standalone (11.1.1.5) and have found the online Layout Editor to be very useful.  I am wondering, however, if there is a way to either completely create an RTF in Word and import it into BIP and  have the ability to make it interactive (clicking on regions filters data in other areas), or to create a layout in BIP, export and modify it in Word, and then import it and still maintain the ability to make it interactive.
