cross platform migration

Hi

  Currently we are doing a cross-platform migration from windows x86 to AIX 6.1.  Conversion on the target side.  Currently it is taking nearly 7 hours of time to copy database files from windows to AIX.  Are there any mechanisms available to reduce the copy time between windows to AIX like NFS or CIFS or any other options.  Also does Oracle supports using of CIFS.
