How to get one PO/release per Sales Order with Drop Ship Items

Is there a way when a Sales Order is booked with Drop Ship Items that only unique PO/Release is created ?

We are looking to avoid 1 PO/release for a Supplier that may contain lines from Multiple Sales Orders
