CSM: Enable Auto sync Status Notification

Hello,
We have upgraded R12 and FE's on the laptop  are receiving alert notifications which I believe is because of profile option CSM: Enable Auto sync Status Notification set to Yes...We have not set this profile option to Yes but default is Yes....Can you please let me know what does this profile option and when would FE's see this alert ..This is what in the Alert Notification

MFS_ALERT:NOTIFICATION_ID=5056492:MODE=NEW:OBJECT_NAME=DEFERRED_TRANSACTION:TRACKING_ID=47
