rman duplicate fails with known compression bug

Hi everyone,
I am trying to do a duplicate (of which I have done so many times before, I could do in my sleep) with rman.  this is a x86-64 RHEL 5 System on the latest 11.2.0.2 PSU july 2011.  I looked up this 'known' bug that I cannot get around. Has anyone gotten around the bug:

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kck_rls_check must use (11,0,0,0,0) or lower], [kdt.c], [9576], [11.2.0.2.0], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []

which is a known bug 0210334. I have entered the _compression_compatibility= "11.2.0" in the auxiliary database init.ora and it is not working.  this is very frustrating that it will not be fixed until patchset 11.2.0.3 (which is not released) or in 12.1)

Howdy, Stranger!
