Check Out process with the invalid flag error

Hi,
Customer is having some issue with the Check Out process. To test the behavior in vanilla I have setup the environment in 8.1.1.3 SIA and enabled all workflows required for eSales. When trying to check out a product from the shopping cart in eSales application it is throwing the following message:

Your Shopping Cart contains items that are no longer available for purchase, these items are indicated by the Invalid flag below     
Clicking Continue will automatically remove these items from your shopping cart and proceed with the checkout process     
Clicking Cancel will return you to the shopping cart

It is taking us to the "Quote Form Applet - Invalid Items (eSales\)" applet with the "Invalid" flag set to true.
