Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Defaulting Rules

Is there a way to get a defaulting rule to get applied once only?

Here is the situation:

Order Type A is defined on Ship To Site
Order is created , Order Type A defaults and is then changed to Order Type B
Lines are created scheduled and booked
New Ship To Address is created at order header leve (Actions>Add Customer)
However the defaulting rules try to enforce the order type A and since order is already, it's not allowing the change on the order header

Work around we are using so far is to still save address details created and select them on the lines
