EBS R12.1.1 software staging error - xterm: Can't execvp /tmp/staging/adautostg.pl

I am trying to stage the EBS R12.1.1 software on Solaris 10 u9 Sparc 64-bit. From the StartCD I ran the perl program adautostg.pl and a new window opens with this error -

xterm: Can't execvp /tmp/staging/adautostg.pl

This is is what /tmp/staging looks like -
${WHOAMI}@${HOSTNAME} > ls -l /tmp/staging

I'm using perl v5.8.4

Does anyone know why I am getting this and how to get around it?
