Change UOM on an Expenditure Type

Is there a way to change the UOM associated with an expenditure type? We don't want to stop using the expenditure type, we just want it to have a different unit of measure.

Example: MATERIAL ISSUES (Inventory issues) is set up as Currency and not EACH. I want to change without changing MATERIAL ISSUES as the expenditure type.
