Repost Active Sales Order - R42995

This query is regarding R42995 - Repost Active Sales Orders for Future commit orders.
In our environment R42995 has modified Promised Delivery Date (RSDJ) on F4211 based on the calculation of Current Date + Specific Commitment Days defined in B/P constants. ID 625504.1 gives an insight into R42995, though it does not precisely tells if RSDJ would be updated as well. Could somebody please explain?
