obsolete View in 11.2.0.2 (ALL_SOURCE_TAB_COLUMNS and USER_SOURCE_TAB_COLUMNS)

It looks like these should have been obsoleted in v11g, but are left laying around after the v9 -> v11g upgrade.
ALL_SOURCE_TAB_COLUMNS
USER_SOURCE_TAB_COLUMNS

Why are they still in the database if they are obsolete?  Can they be dropped?
