Autovue Initialisation Error

I've just installed the latest edition of Autovue and i'm getting the following error message when tryinh to start the application...

Initialization failed. Failed to establish direct connection; nested exception is:

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Unable to create markup directory.

An error occured while connecting to the server.

Restart the applet?

On trying to restart the same error message pops up.

Any ideas on how to fix it?
