Customising Payment Instruction Register

We are trying customize the standard report 'Payment Instruction Register' in R12.1.3 Payables Application. This is a BI Publisher Report. The XML extract for this report is built by the Java Concurrent program.
My question is: Is there any package that controls the XML extract that builds this Report 'Payment Instruction Register' ?
In a nutshell, how would one go about bringing additional fields on the standard 'Payment Instruction Register' report?
As an example, to modify the XML extract for check printing with additional data, one would use the Package IBY_FD_EXTRACT_EXT_PUB (ref. ID 457539.1). Is there some similar approach to modify the 'Payment Instruction Register' ?
