ACP won't update Classes

I'm trying to update a couple classes/subclasses using ACP, and get errors:

The list for attribute "Non-Conformance Reports.Cover Page.Incident" cannot be changed because the attribute is in use by the following object(s):  Criteria: All Non-Conformance Reports

any ideas how i can get these to update?
