ora_m000_dbname process running at 99%

Sunday around noon time one of my database on the linux server has the ora_m000_ process running at 99%. I didn't see anything recorded in the alert log. I wasn't aware of any transaction or application running. My db version is 10.2.0.4 and os is red hat linux. How to deal with this situation? How to go about investigate what is going on? Please advice. Thank you very much.
