Building a pivot table with excel template builder

Is it possible to define an excel (not rtf) template to generate a pivot table. I want to use the functionaity to generate named worksheets, but each worksheet has  data presented on a matrix format.

I'm using the Template Builder for excel, version 11.1.1.5.0. I read Chapter 6 - Creating Excel Templates - from the Oracle Fusion Middleware Report Designer's Guide for Oracle Business Intelligent Publisher. I can't find additional documentation to expand on the instructions provided on the chapter.
