T3-1 dual SAS controller

We are looking to deploy T3-1 servers soon for LDOM's. I understand that the T3-1 has dual SAS controllers. Does anyone know if it is possible to create an alternate I/O domain that owns one of the SAS controllers so it can boot from internal drives like the control domain (primary)? The alternate I/O domain cannot depend on a pci bus owned by the control domain, we must be able to take an outage on either the control domain or the alternate I/O domain and NOT cause an outage on the other guests.
