ora_j000_dbname process utilization high

I have one of my alert script tell me that the ora_j000_dbname background process is using 65%. There is nothing unusual for that time period in the alert log and nothing in the trace file. Should I be worried about this? Is there a way to find the root cause? My database version is 10.2.0.4 on red hat linux.  Thank you very much.
