SBT_TAPE Backupset Available, But No Datafiles Listed in "list backupset" command

Hello DBAs:

This is Oracle 10.1.0.5 single instance on AIX 64.  I've been asked to restore a database to PITR 10-Jul-11 23:00.  The controlfile does return a list of backuppieces with the tag value I'm looking for.  However, when I issue commands "list backupset 653214;" there are no datafiles listed in the backupset.

When I try command "restore database preview" it fails with this error for every datafile:
RMAN-06023: no backup or copy of datafile 1 found to restore

I have the RMAN logs from the backup made on 09-Jul-11.  I can see it creating piece handle=bk_67241_1_756075774 for the system datafile.  I used this piece handle to find the backupset key, which is 653214.  I used the backupset key to execute the list backupset command:
