archive log deletion policy -11g R2 with a physical standby in place

Hi,

We have a 11g R2 2 node RAC database and a single 11g R2 physical standby database

on the RAC database, RMAN backups are configured to go to +FRA

What "archive log deletion policy" we should define on the primary RAC database?

Should we set it to --> CONFIGURE ARCHIVELOG DELETION POLICY TO APPLIED ON STANDBY  ?

we were reading a white paper from oracle which stated that "you should set the deletion policy to applied on standby" on
database where "BACKUPS are NOT taken" and set it to "Configure Archivelog deletion policy backed up <n> times to device type [sbt|disk]" where "BACKUPS are taken"

Howdy, Stranger!
