R12 Payment Batch Sets

Hello:

I realize that the Payment Batch Set functionality is not available in R12.  Has anyone come up with a workaround?  We have over 500 different Payment docs that run at various times during the day.   It is not possible for us to eliminate any of these do to regulations.  If we do not have the ability to run batches, we would have to increase our staff by SEVERAL people just to accomodate this.  That is also not feasible. 


Any insight on how to work around this?  I am not sure I am missing any of the Payment functionality, but so far i do not see any benefit to R12.  It seems like there is more work involved to get payments out.
