DCD on the server & VPN Checkpoint firewall on the clients - session dropped after SQLNET.EXPIRE_TIM
Hello,
I have a problem with DCD (SQLNET.EXPIRE_TIME) set on the server.
When a client connects to database with Checkpoint Security R75 installed on PC, and SQLNET.EXPIRE_TIME set on the server, when a database server sent a control packet do client (to check if clients is still alive) VPN firewall drops that packet and then ... it works as designed, I mean oracle drops the session because there is no answer from client.
So, in this configuration not a dead connections are dropped, but an inactive connection with no response to DCD packet because firewall drops DCDs.
