Why does ASCP collections collect inactive MDS from source

we collect MDS in ASCP.We inactivated one MDS in source  which was previosuly collected in ASCP  and now want the MDS data to be removed from ASCP as well but when run the targetted collections for MDS it is not doing that , infact the data againt this inactive MDS keepsappeaing back in ASCP.Why does targetted collections not ignore this inactive MDS?
