upgrade Rel 12 in new server

we plan to upgrade to Rel 12 ( from 11.5.10.2 ) and move to new 64 bit server.  so My first step is to lay down the Rel 12.1.1  just like a fresh install but this is not really a fresh install because I am doing the upgrade.... so in the EBS installation guide  should I follow page 4-1 "Installing Technology Stack Components""Ins"
