Number of Lines per Remittance Stub

In the Vision instance of R12.1.3, I setup a new bank account and used the seeded "Laser Check Format"  with the "Numbr of lines per Remittance Stub" set to 32.  Did a quick check payment for a vendor with 2 invoices, and was expecting the program to skip 30 lines after listing the 2 invoices before printing the check.  But it did not; the check started to print right after listing the invoices.  What did I miss?
