Is backup of individual non-global zones with lofs supported ?

Hi

I need some help to understand the limits with backup and lofs filesystem

After talking to EMC about Legato and backup of Zones.
 
From EMC : We would have to backup the LOFS file systems as a part of the Global zone only.
    It is not recommended by Oracle to backup lofs file systems shared with the global zone
    in non-global zones.

I have found 2 different answers

1. About Backing Up a Solaris System With Zones Installed

 You can perform backups in individual non-global zones,
 or back up the entire system from the global zone.

2. Backing Up Loopback File System Directories
