Adding memory to RAC nodes

All,

We are running Oracle version 10.2.0.4 on a 4 RAC Node.  The OS is2.6.9-67.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Nov 7 13:56:44 EST 2007 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux.  New to RAC, so need expert advise.   We will be adding 40 GB memory to the servers, and modifing the hugemem settings; changing the swap settings upgrading the glibc.

What I would like to know is it advisable to remove one node at a time and make the changes then add the node back?  From what I have read it is theoretically possible.

Thank you in advance.
