average cost inventory - reporting currency

Hi
my company wishes to use the average cost method for valuing its inventory for our reporting currency. From what I understand Oracle doesn't store the average cost for the reporting currency. Has anyone successfully implemented a solution  for being able to store and calculate the average cost for the reporting currency
