Visibility to supplier's inventory

Our end users have this question:

"We want to be able to enter a Sales Order and order the same item clearing out one suppliers inventory and then order remaining demand from the new supplier."

We use OM, Purchasing, and Inventory.  We do not use iSupplier or ASCP.

Can this be accomplished with the current modules used?
