Does the Verity search engine work for items in direct connect / punchout catalogs?

Does the Verity search engine work for items in direct connect / punchout catalogs? We would like to be able to help requestors using ePRO search for items across internal and external catalogs.  We're considering the use of Verity but need to be sure the items in direct connect / punchout catalogs will be included in the search results.
