Vendor Direct Connect Issue

We are having an issue with a direct connect vendor in PeopleSoft FSCM 9.1 MP5 and PeopleTools 8.51.06.  We ran this integration fine with a test-to-test environment but have ran into an issue with the production environment. 

We saw in the log that the hostname cannot be resolved and are getting a certificate error.  However, after installing the certificates we are generating the same errors.

javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: java.security.cert.CertificateException: Untrusted Server Certificate Chain
 at com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Alerts.getSSLException(Alerts.java:174)
 at com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.SSLSocketImpl.fatal(SSLSocketImpl.java:1623)
 at com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Handshaker.fatalSE(Handshaker.java:198)
