Compile package gives 'locked object' error

 Hello Forum members,           We frequently come across this issue when we try to compile a PL/SQL package which errors out stating a referenced object is locked by someone else. Is there any new feature in 11g that will automatically compile the package once the lock in released (like maybe in a queue or something)? I thought I read it somewhere but can't remember where.
