R12 GL Code Comdinations Entry

In our Current 11i Production Instance, In GL>Setup>Accounts>Combinations when a new code combination is entered, the end date populates automatically to end of year 31 Dec 2011 while in R12 Test Instance an upgrade from the 11i it does not put an end date. We are using Encumbrance.

What setup do I need to do in R12?
